World of Tanks is now officially released for the PS4. An announcement on the PlayStation Blog confirmed the launch of the popular free-to-play MMO Players can download it for free from the PlayStation Store and then they can head into the Proving Grounds mode to learn the basics of combat before diving into an online battle.
World of Tanks on PS4 will feature three different countries: USA, Germany, and USSR. Between those three nations, players have over 130 different tanks to unlock, drive around, and blow stuff up with.
Battling through a game in World of Tanks will earn players experience points and Silver, the in-game currency used to buy more upgrades. Each tank will have a series of customization options, and tank crews can be trained to earn more skills and perks.
Like any free-to-play game, World of Tanks features a store for not-free-to-spend cash. This store will let you buy Premium time which lets you earn 50 percent more Silver and XP while playing. The store also has special tanks that are only available for a limited time.
World of Tanks developer Wargaming has already hosted two Open Betas on PS4, with over one million battles having already been fought. This means the game is going to be stable, and ready for an influx of new players. So if you are concerned about how World of Tanks will technically perform, don’t be.
And like any PlayStation 4 game, World of Tanks will feature Trophy support. Make sure you unlock all of the trophies to get to the Platinum at the end of the list.
