Microsoft just had their newest console leaked: an updated version of the Xbox One. The Xbox One S specs just appeared on the Twitter feed of Games Radar’s Global Editor-in-Chief, Daniel Dawkins. The console will feature “a 40% smaller console, a 2 TB hard drive, 4k Ultra HD video and High Dynamic Range.” The console will also sit vertically, instead of the current horizontal version. More information about the console will come out tomorrow at Microsoft’s E3 press event.
A Neogaf poster, who originally leaked the image, said the console will have a built in power supply, something that’s never been done on an Xbox before. We still don’t know what exactly the new controller will be, but the picture does show the console alongside a white controller. The console itself looks much tinier than the current beast that is the Xbox One.
For all those people who have been putting off buying an Xbox One, this might be your chance. I always recommend buying a console at the end of its life cycle instead of the beginning; classic games that were full price at the beginning become much more affordable and easier to get hold of. I just bought the black Xbox One bundle, and I’m kicking myself over not waiting until this brand new beauty comes out.
