A new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD showcases all of the changes coming to the remastered GameCube classic. Alongside graphics updates, fans can expect to see new challenge modes and more.
The first thing we notice in the trailer is an obvious improvement in graphics. The original Twilight Princess features bloom effects out the wazoo, giving it that soft, almost fuzzy look. The HD version will feature much crisper lines, giving more defined detail.
Outside of graphics, Twilight Princess HD will feature new ways to play thanks to the Wii U gamepad. The gamepad’s touch screen will allow for players to look at mini maps, equip new gear on the fly, and even let them play without a TV.
If you are a glutton for punishment, you can also use the gamepad as a motion sensing device for shooting arrows and using other items.
A new game mode, called Hero Mode, is also included in the HD remake. Hero Mode mirrors the world in Twilight Princess, and also ups the difficulty with Link taking more damage while dealing less out.
Stamps are a fun new collectible hidden throughout Twilight Princess HD as well. These stamps can be used to create and share messages on Miiverse.
The video ends talking about the amiibo functionality of Twilight Princess HD . While we have already mentioned this, a quick run-down is as follows:
Using the Wolf Link amiibo will unlock a new dungeon to test your skills in
The Zelda/Sheik amiibos can be used to restore your hearts
The Link/Toon Link amiibos can be used to refill your arrow supply
The Ganondorf amiibo can be used to unlock an even more challenging mode where Link takes more damage than normal
