Elden Ring
Elden Ring is FromSoftware's ongoing project. It is a game heavily inspired by the Dark Souls series, and the game will feature an open-world setting. Moreover, Game of Thrones’ author George RR Martin is also said to be working with FromSoftware in creating the story of Elden Ring. With the immense success that FromSoftware's previous game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice gained, fans are surely expecting another punishing experience from the developer.
Far Cry 6
Far Cry 6 is Ubisoft's next installment in the popular Far Cry series. There isn't much that we know about it yet, except that it is set in a fictional country called Yara. Seeing how expansive Ubisoft's recent Assassin's Creed games were, fans could expect Far Cry 6 to receive a similar treatment as well. Nevertheless, fans can assume that the game will feature a vast open-world, a plethora of guns, and probably a gripping story.
God of War Ragnarok
God of War 2018 was an amazing game that went ahead to win the GOTY award. The game showcased the protagonist Kratos in a new light where he plays as a father and teaches his son survival skills. Towards the end of the game, it is revealed that Kratos' son is Loki. This left the story at an incredible cliffhanger. Now, fans are excited to see where Santa Monica Studios will take the story of Kratos going forward in God of War Ragnarok.
Gotham Knights
Gotham Knights is Warner Bros' upcoming game. It is set after the events that transpired in Batman Arkham Knight. While the game will not feature the caped crusader himself, the Batfamily will fill his shoes. The game will focus on Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood. The game is said to feature an open-world environment just like other Arkham games. However, the game itself isn't set in the Arkham Universe. So, it'll be interesting to see what WB Games has done with the new game.
Hitman 3
Hitman games have recently become the hallmark of stealth games. The previous two installments in the Hitman series introduced some of the most innovative ways players could approach stealth. It seems that things will only become better in Hitman 3, which is releasing on January 20, 2021. Besides the stealth improvement, players can also expect the game to take advantage of the next-gen technologies.
Resident Evil 8: Village
Resident Evil 8: Village is a sequel to Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, released in 2017. The game will follow the footsteps of Biohazard. So, players will once again experience the terror in the first-person perspective. The game will continue the story of Ethan Winters. But Chris Redfield will join to play an antagonistic role.
Horizon: Forbidden West
Horizon: Forbidden West is another game that fans are eagerly looking forward to in 2021. The game has already received multiplayer trailers, and it's about time that we also get a length of in-game footage. For all Alloy fans out there, Horizon: Forbidden West is releasing in 2021.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be a direct sequel to the original The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, released in 2021. While there isn't official news that Nintendo is working on a new installment in the series, the developer teased the sequel last year. We are hoping that 2021 will see the sequel that fans have been waiting for.
