Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits is launching this October 28 as a digital download on Nintendo Switch. It’s also going to be the first time for this arcade fishing experience to arrive in the US. The game’s Story Mode has players go through quests of cleaning the oceans of the world to have a sustainable future. There are also aquatic-themed medal pusher games and multiplayer activities like Gator Panic and Goldfish Scooping.
One of the game features is the Marine Medal Mania. This is an aquarium-themed amusement park where players can explore and experience exciting games between the five unique attractions. In Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, players compete to catch fish and earn medals that they can use to spin for prizes. Players can also collect more than 250 different types of fish to store in their personal aquarium.
Other features and modes in the game are:
- Ace Angler +, The Fishing Medal Game
- Experience Ace Angler’s arcade version at home with up to four players.
- All stages from the previous game are available along with the newly added arcade stages as well as the Nintendo Switch-exclusive stages.
- Story Mode: Legend of the Poisoned Seas
- Players are challenged to travel across the globe and rescue the oceans from poison and garbage for future generations.
- By clearing time sensitives, players can advance the story while also learning fascinating facts about actual marine life.
- Online Ultimate Angler Competition
- Engage in online fishing battles where up to four people can catch fish and collect stars for each victory earned.
- Aim to be the Ultimate Angler.
- Ace Angler Party
- This mode features 12 marine-themed party games, along with other fishing competitions where players compete to catch the heaviest or most valuable fish.
- Medal Pusher Game: Shark Fever
- The goal of this mode is to catch a great white shark by knocking down five balls to trigger a Shark Battle to receive many Medals.
In a statement, Bandai Namco Producer Yayoi Tomidokoro shared that the game is set to not only offer fun to players but also endless excitement. He added that with the release of the game on Switch, players in the US can now experience the latest title in this popular fishing franchise right in the comfort of their home or on the go. He went on to say that players can join in the fun with friends and family or even compete with others around the world.
