Daisy Johnson, also known as Quake (previously known as Skye) went MIA after the Agents of SHIELD Season 3 finale. A six-month flashforward showed Agents Mack and Coulson, no longer SHIELD Director, chasing her down with no luck. Considering all that Daisy has been through in the past few years, it comes as no surprise to learn that she’s going to be in a much darker place in Season 4.
“I think she feels like she can’t get close to people because wherever she goes, death follows. That hit home with her, especially this time,” actress Chloe Bennet revealed in Entertainment Weekly’s spoiler room.
Daisy’s boyfriend, Lincoln, sacrificed himself to save her and kill Hive once and for all. However, even though Hive was one of the most powerful villains we’ve ever seen on TV, he and Daisy still had a romantic thing for each other and were very close back when he was Agent Grant Ward. After losing two men in her life and dealing with the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War that gives government more power in registering inhumans, bringing her home won’t be an easy task for Agent Coulson.
“I think it changes her in a way where she probably will face life with even more ruthlessness,” Bennett added .
In the 6-month flashforward, we learn that she’s caused quite a bit of destruction and the newspapers have given her a new name: Quake. It’s unclear from the headlines whether she’s a “hero or rogue.”
