Players can choose between Competitive Play, Quick Player, and Arcade matches and, in doing so, will give them the chance to unlock event-exclusive cosmetics each week. Also, winning a match will count as two games toward the next round.

Furthermore, the Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland Christmas event will have Loot Boxes exclusive to the event only. These gift-shaped boxes will contain unique cosmetics and skins from both previous and current Winter Wonderland events.
