Among Us Update v2022.3.29 is out today, and it’s not a prank. This small update adds the Friends List, new items, cosmetics, and a game event.
In this update, players can rock on the Halo armor. This set is completely free for Xbox and Microsoft Store players, who will receive a Spartan Helmet, Spartan Armor, and Guilty Spark Pet to hunt the impostors.
Friends List
This is a really convenient feature to have because players can now add and invite others to their games directly. If you’ve ever gotten in a heated game with someone and want to avoid them, you have the option to block them.
Developers haven’t forgotten about steamers. They now have the option to make their friend code visible to the public or keep it hidden. This prevents spamming friend requests to streamers and filling up the notifications.
New April Fools Event
Some people might have seen the Among Us meme where the character is a horse. Well, now that’s in the live version of the game as part of a limited-time event for April Fool’s day.
Welcome to the Among Us Horse Mode where crewmates and impostors are horses, and that’s not all. Impostors will also have a unique kill animation, and you can’t have a horse mode without horse sounds. That’s right, everyone can neigh in this game mode.

- Friends List does not update in real-time – needs to be refreshed
- No error message when attempting to send a Friend Request while being offline
- “Recently Played With” and “Blocked Players” tabs do not update properly when blocking/unblocking players
- Friends List requests are not received after adjusting the "Friend & Lobby Invites" option multiple times in Settings
- Significant shadow and texture issues – noticeable during Lights Off sabotage phase
- Crew color Cosmetics and Crewmate displayed as the Preferred color rather than current Crewmate color in Lobby Wardrobe
- Cosmetics may be slow to load in
- When a new player joins the game, it can take half a second for their cosmetics to load in with the player as it does the spawn animation
