Animal Crossing: New Horizons will soon launch a new DLC called Happy Home Paradise. It’s going to give everyone the chance to join Lottie and her Paradise Planning team. It means players get to travel to different islands and decorate island facilities or design vacation homes. The new DLC is scheduled to be released on November 5.
The thing to remember though is that this DLC isn’t available for free. Players can get the new DLC with a one-time fee of $24.99. It’s not just an expansion since it’s supported as a complimentary feature of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
In a statement, Nick Chavez at the Nintendo of America shared that they are excited for everyone to rediscover the game’s vibrant world. He added that they hope players get more experiences with the new DLC.
Making Dreams Come True
Happy Home Paradise has players work with Lottie and be part of the Paradise Planning Team. There’s a new resort area located in an archipelago. This resort is the place where clients make requests for vacation homes. What players need to do is talk to a client and learn what they want in a vacation home. After that, it’s time to make their dreams come true.
It goes without saying that the first task is to find a location for the dream vacation home. The more a player designs vacation homes, the more design techniques they get. These include adding partition walls and pillars to divide the space or putting in ambient lighting or soundscapes to bring that needed depth to the design. It’s important to remember that each client has different vacation homes in mind.
Design Your Way to the Top
Another interesting thing with this new DLC is that as the player gains experience as a designer, more furniture is unlocked. Players also get to make more suggestions like telling a client to remodel their vacation homes or recommending two clients to be roommates.
It’s not just the clients that need help. The island where Lottie’s Paradise Planning team is located has several vacant buildings. Lottie wants to make the island even more developed so take the time to help design different facilities like a restaurant, café, or even a school.
