Apex Legends kicked off its Season 7 three days ago. The new season packs a ton of content, including a new map called Olympus, a new Legend named Horizon, and a brand-new battle pass. While players have been enjoying the new season quite a lot, many have noticed that the battle pass in the fast-paced battle royale is progressing rather slowly. Players have reported that even after four hours of gameplay, the battle pass leveled up by only one tier, which is really slow.
Unlike the previous seasons, Respawn has made some changes to the battle pass and the challenges, claiming that it would simplify the pass. However, it seems that things haven't worked as intended and the developer is now at work to fix the battle pass.
The initial idea behind revamping the Apex Legends season 7 battle pass was to make it more streamlined and replace XP with stars. That means that players required 10 stars to clear a tier, and from experience and the experience of fans on Reddit, earning even a single star is quite arduous right now.
Since the issue has come to light, many players have been saying that they won't be investing in this Season's battle pass until Respawn has it fixed.
Naturally, Respawn addressed the issue via a Twitter post, which states that starting today, the requirement to earn a star has been reduced from 10,000XP to 5,000XP. Moreover, starting next week, challenges will take less time to complete. In a follow up tweet, Respawn also explained the reason behind the change in the new battle pass.
While a few things have been slowing down the Apex Legends experience right now, the Season itself packs plenty of fast-paced action, including the new Trident hover vehicle that you and your squad can take for a spin across Olympus. Moreover, our beloved grappling scout has received a sweet buff to his tactical ability, making him fly even more.
Apex Legends is free-to-play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is also in development for the Nintendo Switch.
