The Apple March 2016 Event is set to take place March 15 , according to 9to5Mac and Mark Gurman’s sources. If the reports are accurate, Apple is reportedly planning on announcing the iPhone 5se, the iPad Air 3 and new Apple Watch bands at this event.
The event is still more than a month and a half away, so the rumored date is still tentative. The event itself could be turned into an online announcement as well, depending on Apple’s sentiments on the matter as the date gets closer.
The iPhone 5se will supposedly have the same curved glass style as the iPhone 6s and the same 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera as the iPhone 6. Meanwhile the iPad Air 3 may be able to use iPad Pro-only accessories such as the Apple Pencil, according to rumors, and new fashion partnerships for Apple Watch bands should hopefully be announced.
What is certain is that iOS 9.3, which includes the new Night Shift Mode, and watchOS 2.2, which includes upgraded functionality for the Maps app, are both set to release very soon. Both operating systems are currently in beta testing, but it is unclear if Apple is planning on waiting to release the new operating systems until the March 2016 Event.
