The Rollback Netcode support update for BlazBlue: Central Fiction is now available on Steam. With this, players can take full advantage of what the update offers when it comes to online play. In particular, it brings with it a smoother overall game experience for players competing in matches across the world.
This update on Steam followed a successful public beta testing period where the game’s active users exceeded its own record to date. The Rollback Netcode has long been anticipated by a lot of fans.
BlazBlue: Central Fiction is the fourth game in the BlazBlue franchise and set after the events of the third game, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. It ends the Azure Saga and is the final game with Ragna as the main protagonist. In addition, it is the only title in the series that hasn't been dubbed.
The game offers a new gameplay mechanic known as Exceed Accel, a special type of Distortion Drive. Activating it allows the character to perform a specific attack in their moveset. Once it connects, it deals large damage but immediately ends Overdrive.
There is also Active Flow, which serves as the opposite of a Negative Penalty status. A character fighting offensively goes into an Active Flow, and it boosts damage and recovery of the Burst Gauge. Active Flow also increases the damage of Exceed Accel.
