The much-awaited Blizzcon from Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that it is returning after being away for two years, but there is a catch. Instead of holding the event this year, Blizzcon is making its grand comeback in 2026.

Blizzcon Confirms Its Return

A new announcement trailer was shared by Blizzard Entertainment on its YouTube page about the much-anticipated return of its Blizzcon event. The company only returned to holding the event in 2023 following the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, despite returning in 2023, it was not what fans expected as the event did not return to being held annually. While Blizzard initially announced that Blizzcon 2024 will take place, the company canceled the event without any clear explanation.

For the next Blizzcon, the company has set its sights on 2026, and it has not explained why it chose to not hold it this year.

What to Expect from Blizzcon 2026 from Blizzard Entertainment?

What has been confirmed for Blizzcon 2026 is that it will take place on September 12 to 13, 2026, at its regular venue, the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Previously, the event was held in the latter months of the year.

Fans may register for the upcoming event, and Blizzard said that it will share updates with users who sign up for updates via its official website.

As of writing, there is no information on ticketing for the two-day event. There is likewise no information yet regarding what fans can expect from its return.
