There’s no question that in Borderlands 3, a lot of players are confident with their skills that they can take on different challenges. But what about new challenges? The True Trials is a six-week series of limited-time mini-events that started May 13.
All of these challenges then lead to the Revenge of the Cartels seasonal event which returns June 24. In fact, Revenge of the Cartels is only one of the many updates arriving on that date.
What’s going to happen is during the event, one Proving Grounds Trial will occur each week to become a True Trial. This trial is only recommended for the most seasoned players because there is no top-tier build or loot. New players should watch out for this since the mini-event can’t be turned off.
Those who can beat the final boss are rewarded with two legendary items, which have been handpicked by none other than the development team. Each week is set to offer two pieces of loot with one from the base game and the other from an add-on. Plus, players are also offered a chest after each week’s True Trial ends and it comes with legendaries, regardless of how fast the challenge was completed or how many objectives were finished.
A new True Trials mini-event is activated each Thursday and Week 1 is the True Trial of Survival. Details are:
- Dates: May 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET to May 20 at 11:59 a.m. ET
- Location: Devil's Razor (Pandora)
- Base game Legendary: The Lob
- Add-on Legendary: Lucky 7 (Moxxi's Heist of The Handsome Jackpot)
