Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Previews the Terminus Map Featured in the Game

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies may be two months away from release, but its developers have shared loads of information about the game. In particular, a preview of the game's map has been shared to players worldwide.

Zombies is set in a place called Terminus Island. While players have to wait until the full release of the game before it can fully see and appreciate the area, new details show what can be expected from the map.

The Terminus Island complex, according to the official Call of Duty website, is found in the Philippine Sea. It is said that there used to be a pre-WWII coal mining operator on the island, but this was eventually abandoned sometime around 1932.

It eventually became a naval base of the United States a decade later before it was converted into a secret outpost of the CIA. In 1986, it was taken over by Project Janus, who built a laboratory in its mining caves.

"After Peck and Maya break the Requiem crew out of their prison cells, they soon learn this is a bio-research station for Project Janus," the website says. "Your handlers are Peck and Strauss, and for the richest story experience, you'll want to choose your Operator crew from Grigori Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie 'Mac' Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo – the dedicated crew of characters featured throughout Black Ops 6 Zombies' storyline."

Reveal Trailer

If the details of the Terminus map are not enough to get players excited, the game's official YouTube channel released a reveal trailer on August 8.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released for the following consoles and devices:

  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox X/S
  • Windows

The story of the game is set in the 1990s, and its single-player campaign will continue the story of the Black Ops series. It likewise includes Call of Duty's famed Zombies mode, whose story continues where Black Ops Cold War's own Zombies mode left off.

While it cannot be denied that fans of the franchise are very excited for the game, some have chosen to spoil the fun. According to a report, the cutscenes of the game have been liked online by an X (formerly Twitter) user named @Kivikou.

Fortunately, it seems that the footage has been taken down due to a report by the copyright owner. This, however, is not the first time that footage from the upcoming game has been leaked as many have gained access to the game through jailbroken PlayStation 4 consoles.
