Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is holding a special Halloween-themed event through Nov. 1, and it offers an assortment of perks including Supply Drops, cosmetics, maps, modes and more. An Activision blog post has the full details.

Willard Wyler’s Halloween Scream, as it is called, includes the following benefits that are active at the time of writing:

  • Free Halloween-themed Supply Drops at the start of each week. They’re available Monday morning through Friday morning from the Quartermaster.
  • Free Halloween-themed cosmetic item every Friday along with one final gift on Oct. 30. Cosmetics are available Friday through Monday.
  • Halloween-themed gear and loot such as Zombie-themed rig skins
  • A Zombies Boss Battle mode: Starting Oct. 13 players can take on their favorite bosses from Infinite Warfare Zombies including those from Zombies In Spaceland through The Beast From Beyond. Two bosses become available per week and the DLC is required to participate.
  • Gesture Warfare runs through Oct. 12. It’s a rejuvenated version of Gun Game where opponents are killed with pistols, knives and, most importantly, a small roster of hand gestures.
  • The Carnage map from September’s Retribution DLC is free for all starting Oct. 12. Double XP is earned on the map.

To unlock these perks players are encouraged to log in Monday through Friday and visit the Quartermaster. As listed in the first two bullets, certain unlocks are made available on certain days of the week. Also, because Activision has listed the news in Pacific Daylight Time, there may be some slight variations in availability.

This Halloween event arrives hot off the heels of several teases from Activision and Infinity Ward over the past few days. The publisher noted a special announcement was coming on Monday, while Zombies Director Lee Ross promised some exciting Zombies-related content on Oct. 13. We can now assume he was talking about the Boss Rush.

In general, this event is essentially the same as the other seasonal promotions we’ve seen in Call Of Duty games over the past year or so. Back in June, the Call Of Duty Days Of Summer event offered similar rewards across Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare Remastered. The major difference for this occasion, of course, is that it’s totally exclusive to Infinite Warfare.

The limited-time Carnage map takes players to a post-apocalyptic race track with dimly lit bar areas, rocky terrain and a hot environmental hazard called the Burninator. Especially if you’re a fan of Mad Max, this map is definitely worth a look. Check out the Carnage 24/7 playlist starting this Thursday.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Watch a trailer for Willard Wyler’s Halloween Scream above.

‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Review: The Shooter To Skip This Holiday Season
The rise of new properties, like Titanfall and Overwatch, combined with resurgent properties, like Destiny or Battlefield, make it hard to justify the shrinking number of new ideas in Call of Duty. Those who purchased Infinite Warfare on day one may not relate to anything in this article. But those with less fondness for the franchise, or just expecting COD:IW to at least match the quality of Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3, should probably turn their attention elsewhere.
  • Cool weapons
  • A decent campaign story
  • Zombies is as fun and weird as ever
  • Multiplayer is too much of a grind for good weapons
  • There's not much originality in the entire package.
