The Season 4 update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is expected to drop very soon and here's everything you can expect in the latest major patch.
The update is expected to bring a brand new operator, a new weapon, and a bunch of massive changes to the Battle Royale Warzone. One of the highlights of the major update is that players will be able to jump into a 200-player Battle Royale mode, but this massive mode will only be around for a limited time.
The 200-player Battle Royale mode is going to be limited to Battle Royale Quads for the time being and only time will tell if Activision decides to introduce higher player count lobbies to other modes.
Additionally, a new mode called the Juggernaut Royale will be added to Warzone. This one requires players to "find one of the airdropped care packages to become the Juggernaut and use the mini-gun to attack enemies and vehicles. Once a Juggernaut is sent to the Gulag, a new Juggernaut care package will drop on the map".
With the launch of Season 4, players will be able to activate Supply Run Contracts, which pings a nearby Buy Station to players and their squad. Reaching the Buy Station within the time limit will grant discounts on purchases.
Warzone players will be able to use a brand new piece of gear called the Spotter Scope. This scope allows players to scan other players and the environment and tag enemies without being spotted. A new sniper rifle called the Rytec AMR sniper rifle is also being added to Warzone and Modern Warfare.
The update also has some good stuff for Modern Warfare players, including a new locale - Cheshire Park. Cheshire Park is located in urban London, England and players will fight each other from door to door or through the central flora-filled area. There's also a new mode coming with the update called Team Defender. Team Defender is a quite memorable mode that was introduced almost a decade ago. The mode is similar to Capture the Flag, but with a unique twist.
Additionally, the Season Four Reloaded update is expected to be anywhere around 22-36 GB. Console owners will be required to install an additional 3.5 GB from a secondary update and must reboot their console to access Multiplayer. Console players can also free up space by uninstalling other data packs. For additional information, check out this article.
