The wait is finally over because players can now jump into the action with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. This latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise offers a large amount of content on day one, including the single-player campaign, multiplayer action, and new Special Ops tactical cooperative experience.
Modern Warfare II follows Modern Warfare, released in 2019, across a gripping story campaign. This new title advances the franchise by offering deep multiplayer modes, maps, playlist and technical innovations. The game is available worldwide on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

In a statement, Call of Duty General Manager Johanna Faries said that the launch of the game is a celebration not just of the incredible community but also the bold future they’ve planned for the franchise. She went on to say that they’re focused on offering a state-of-the-art experience for players while starting an exciting new journey together.
Infinity Ward co-studio head and Head of Development for Call of Duty Dave Stohl shared that the studio and all of the development teams have managed to push the envelope and the launch is just the start. He added that they consider the game as one of their most ambitious releases in their history and they’re excited to finally get into the action together with the players.
Co-studio head for Infinity Ward and Creative Director for Call of Duty Patrick Kelly revealed that the Modern Warfare universe holds a special place for them creatively. From the start, the team wanted to come out with a bold and new set of experiences for everyone to enjoy. In fact, every design decision, technical innovation, and even piece of game development have been used to deliver on this goal.
