Call of Duty Vanguard is almost confirmed now. There have been tons of leaks about this year’s Call of Duty, and most of them appear to be accurate. Even the official COD Twitter page is teasing stuff and has seemingly confirmed a World War 2 setting.
According to Tom Henderson, a well-known Battlefield and COD leaker, Vanguard will be officially revealed on August 19. He also claimed that the game will be released on November 5, and Season 1 will begin on November 23.
Henderson claimed that the upcoming trailer will start with one soldier stabbing another soldier, followed by a destroyed city with several planes above. This leak is true as you can see from the tweet above.
Other Important Dates
The leaker revealed several dates for other important stuff as well. These include when the alpha test, PlayStation beta, and open beta take place.
Keep in mind that none of them is confirmed, and even if these leaks were accurate, there is a good chance that plans could change due to the pandemic. However, the August 19 reveal date does seem likely, as that’s when the State of Play is rumored to take place. We already know that Activision has a special deal with Sony in place.
Story
Henderson was right about almost everything regarding Battlefield 2042. So, there is a good chance that he might be right about Vanguard as well. He claimed that the game will take place after the Nazis have been defeated in WW2. However, Gestapo is actively trying to bring them back. The main villain is Heinrich Muller, who was a real-life Nazi leader.
Some information about Zombies mode has also been leaked. It is being developed by Treyarch and will take place before the events of Die Maschine from the Black Ops Cold War.
Different Editions and Characters
Along with the Standard Edition, a Cross-Gen and Ultimate Edition will also be available. Three of the characters can be seen from the leaked image. They are Lucas, Wade, and Polina. A fourth character, Arthur, is also in the game. All of these characters were real-life soldiers in WW2.
