Looks like the majority of the rumors about Call of Duty Vanguard were true. This year’s COD has officially been revealed with a new trailer. The title was revealed via an in-game event in Warzone , similar to how Black Ops Cold War was announced.
The trailer has confirmed four characters in the game:
- Sergeant Arthur Kingsley from the UK
- Lieutenant Polina Petrova from USSR
- Captain Wade Jackson from the USA
- Second Lieutenant Lucas Riggs from Australia
The game will take you to all four fronts of the war. You will fight in the Western Front, Eastern Front, Pacific Front, and the North African Front. All of these hint at a great variety in levels.
The trailer showed the actual release date as well, and it looks like the leak was accurate. Call of Duty Vanguard will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 5.
According to the official Call of Duty Twitter account, Vanguard will bring a new anti-cheat system to the game. It will be applied to both Warzone and Vanguard’s multiplayer. There will be 20 maps at launch and 16 of them will be for normal multiplayer mode, while four will be for the new Champion Hill mode. A new Gunsmith system will also be available.
Zombies mode is returning and is being developed by Treyarch. It will continue the story of Die Maschine from the Black Ops Cold War.
The game will feature complete cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-gen support. You can pre-order the game from the official site. Pre-ordering will give you access to early Open Beta. More information about the multiplayer mode and beta will be available at a later date.
