Supercell has just announced a Clash of Clans May update, and it seems designed to make up for the past couple months of player disgruntlement. So what exactly do Clash of Clans players have to look forward to, after months of balancing and resource drought issues?
“We're looking to get players battling with full and well-balanced armies much more often than before,” Supercell staffer Anoushka wrote in the announcement. “Waiting several hours for heavy armies will be a thing of the past. Army building boosts still provide a 4x speed boost atop this - blazing fast!”
Changes in the Clash of Clans May update include “hugely reduced” regeneration times, faster training times for Dragon (2x), Witch (2x), Wall Breaker (2x), Golem (3x), Lava Hound (3x) and P.E.K.K.A (3x) units, as well as Balloon, Wizard, Healer, Valkyrie and Bowler units (Supercell didn’t specify an amount increase for the latter set).
Spells will be brewed faster as well, at two times the current rate, and the Bowler troop will have a faster initial attack speed to stop the lagging behind the army issues. Lastly, the length of time before matchmaking search timeouts has been increased from five minutes to 30 minutes, something Supercell explains as intending to help the Clash of Clans players with high trophy counts who have trouble finding opponents.
Player reception of the Clash of Clans May update has so far been positive. The update should be live as soon as the current maintenance break is over.
