Clash Royale was recently updated with teased new card reveals, and it seems those rewards may have already leaked. Gameplay footage of the Inferno Dragon, Graveyard spell and Ice Golem offer a hint of what’s next for the app.
Courtesy of Opegit and Chief Pat on YouTube, we’re able to get a brief glimpse of three upcoming cards and how they function in the area. Assuming the details are accurate, each new addition could potentially improve Clash Royale in a series of different ways. Here’s what we know about each of the cards.
Inferno Dragon: Shoots a focused beam of fire that increases in damage over time. Wears a helmet because flying can be dangerous. Legendary troop, 4 elixir.
HP: 950
Damage: 30-350 / DPS 75 - 875
Targets: Air And Ground
Range: 4
Ht speed: 0.4s
Speed: Medium
Deploy: 1s
Our take: The Inferno Dragon is already visible in the Clash Royale store, so the existence of this troop has essentially already been confirmed by Supercell. It’s expected to drop next week, but here’s a sneak peek at the specific stats behind it. The Inferno Dragon’s ability to charge up to such an absurd degree should be helpful when taking out tank troops. This could be a formidable counterpart to the existing Inferno Tower.
LV1 Graveyard Spell: Unearths a gang of skeletons anywhere in the arena. Spooky! - Spell, 5 elixir.
Skeleton level: 9
Duration: 10s
Spawn speed: 0.5s
Radius: 5
Our take: As with any spell, the degree of Graveyard’s usefulness depends on its limitations. Being able to mass spawn skeletons could be a great way to lure out an opponent’s strongest spells. It could also be a real offensive boon if those newly dropped forces can be augmented by Rage. Supercell is expected to release this update’s last card drop on Oct. 31. Graveyard would be a great way to celebrate Halloween.
Ice Golem: He's tough, targets buildings and explodes when destroyed, slowing nearby enemies. Wears a fashionable collar of coal to match his nose and nails. - Rare troop, 2 elixir
HP: 625
Damage: 40 / DPS 16
Death Damage: 23
Targets: Buildings
Range: Melee
Ht speed: 2.5
Speed: Slow
Deploy: 1s
Our take: Considering that it deals death damage and is super cheap, the Ice Golem could be a great addition to Clash Royale should these leaks be accurate. A tank like this could be a solid way to start a push. After all, a Golem costs half as much as as other building-target troops like the Hog Rider. It’s a rare but efficient card.
Alongside new cards, Clash Royale’s latest update introduces a reworked tournament structure, more classes of chest purchases and enhanced social features. Following the Mega Minion, these new card options are expected to arrive every two weeks.
