Coachella 2016 festival passes sold out in less than an hour this morning after tickets went on sale for the first time since the pre-sale back in June 2015. No general admission tickets for the first weekend were even left after that initial pre-sale, and hopeful festival goers this morning had to console themselves with either a general admission ticket to the second weekend, or spending $60 extra and getting a weekend pass plus shuttle package.
While the initial cost of the passes was $399 for a general admissions ticket and $459 for the package deal, if LCD Soundsystem, Guns N’ Roses, Calvin Harris headlining shivers your whiskers, you can still purchase a ticket on the secondhand market for a premium.
Keep an eye on ticket prices at online resellers like StubHub, SeatGeek, Ebay, local Craigslist communities and Vivid Seat. While the prices are undoubtedly going to shoot up directly after the event selling out, you may get lucky and catch them when they start ticking down in the months before the festival happens April 15-17 and 22-24.
