The cs_summit 7 Grand Finals between Fnatic and Virtus.pro have concluded. The matchup between the two teams was played in a best of three series.
Inferno was the first map of the series. VP started the first round rather strong as they forced the Terrorists, played by Fnatic, to go back into spawn where they cornered them to win the round. Jesper "JW" Wecksell from Fnatic made an insane play on Round 16 when he managed to kill one enemy mid-air and the second enemy after a quick switch.
Meanwhile, Timur "buster" Tulepov from VP got an excellent double kill as he held the apartments with his AK-47. The buster's play allowed VP to fall back into the site and win the round. Although the fight was close between the teams, VP won the first game with a 16-14 scoreline with the whole team contributing to the victory.
The second and final map of the series was Vertigo. Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis from VP clutched a 1v3 post-plant situation on Round 1. He started out with a crazy one tap followed by a kill. After getting two kills, he threw a smoke grenade to hide while defusing the bomb. But it didn't stop there as he also got a third kill once he was done with the bomb.
When the side switch occurred, VP only dropped one round throughout the rest of the game. VP just demolished Fnatic in the second half and took the win with a 16-8 scoreline, and the entire series 2-0.
