Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is introducing a new mode known as N. Verted mode. There’s also going to be a character that’s not only returning to the game, but is now also playable. This is the eighth installment in the Crash Bandicoot franchise and will release on October 2 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Play a new mode
There’s no question that the series has given everyone new and exciting ways to play. For this version, it’s all about the N. Verted levels. These are beefed-up versions of the mirror mode and takes place in another dimension. They not only offer new aesthetics, but also have the possibility of effecting gameplay mechanics. Players, for example, may need to splatter paint in order to see a safe path to complete a level.
Once this mode is unlocked, players can then play all the game levels with the new art style, game feel, and challenges. Completing these levels allow players to earn more gems that can then be used to unlock skins and other fun things.
Look who’s back?
For those who can remember, Dingodile had ended his villainous ways and settled down to achieve his dream of owning and operating a diner. However, it has since been destroyed and he has been sucked into another dimension.
In Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, players get to know what really happened. That’s not all, as Dingodile is going to be a playable character. His weapon is a vacuum gun that he uses to hover and suck up TNT crates and launch them at enemies.
Time to show off
In the original trilogy, there were times when Crash and Coco put on outfits in order to be able to blend into the time period or environment. Examples include getting in scuba gear for water levels or putting on biker jackets for motorcycle races. In this game, however, players can now get these cosmetic items by earning gems and completing in-game challenges.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available to pre-order for $59.99. Those who buy the game digitally get the Totally Tubular Skins. Pre-orders are available here.
