The physical edition of Crysis Remastered for Nintendo Switch is now available. Now, players can enjoy this classic adventure without worrying about storage space. Available for $39.99, the physical edition comes with a bonus card. Also, 20 lucky players have the chance to get a collectible version signed by the development team.
This is not the first time the game arrives on the platform. A digital version was released on Switch last year.
In the game, players take on the role of the super-soldier Nomad. What initially appeared to be a simple rescue mission turns into an all-out war against alien invaders. Players will fight their way across terrestrial and extraterrestrial enemies. Helping them is the Nanosuit that gives them the abilities of Speed, Strength, Armor, and Cloaking.
The original game was first released in 2007 with Crysis 2 released in 2011 and Crysis 3 launched in 2013. The remastered edition of the first game was initially announced in early 2020 and launched later that year. In addition to Switch, it’s also available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Remastered Trilogy
Back in June of this year, it was revealed that the second and third games were also being remastered. The entire series was to be packaged as the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. This was to be released this October 15 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Switch. A PC version is also planned but only exclusive on the Epic Games Store. Read more about it here.
For this edition, players can expect to experience these features:
- Up to 4K resolution on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at 60 FPS.
- On PC, players can lock in their frame rate or just go for it and play on max settings.
- Improved lighting means the game's shadows and reflections look better than ever.
- Substantial performance gains.
- Visually enhanced weapons, characters, and environments immersing players completely in the Crysis universe.
- High-definition textures giving players crystal clear images.
Nintendo Switch fans eager to get their hands on a physical copy of Crysis Remastered can do so today as the game is released on retail.
