There is no doubt that Crysis Remastered failed to live up to the hype it created. While the updated visuals are decent, the performance of the game on almost every platform is abysmal. Now, the latest update released today reduced the game's performance on PS4 even more, for stability sake, of course. Maybe the game needed one more delay, the first one didn't do much.

PS4 Patch 1 locks the game's framerate at 30 FPS when performance mode is enabled. FPS lock and v-sync are now working as intended. Plus, the HDR button won’t be greyed out anymore. The update also added support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese language. More than 80 bugs are addressed that should make your experience a little better.

Performance

  • Frame rate is now locked to 30 FPS in performance mode.
  • FPS lock and v-sync now work as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where switching ray tracing on/off could result in small stutters while in game.
  • Improvements made to stabilize the frame rate across the game.
  • HDR button is no longer greyed out.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that resulted in a visible and constant flickering with distant mountain trees.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in blurred vision in some instances when aiming down sights (ADS)
  • Fixed a bug that resulted in missing images for the brightness and language settings in the options menu.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading into Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the shortcuts for Cloak and armor to not function as intended.
  • Fixed several localization errors in Simplified Chinese.
  • Fixed several localization errors in Traditional Chinese.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in not being able to see the Chinese language options in the settings menu.
  • Fixed several artifact lines that would appear on the rocks on Paradise Lost - Ice.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed you to switch to performance mode without needing to restart the level (level restart is now required when switching modes).
  • Improvements made to the draw distance in the canalization on Assault - Harbor.
  • Fixed an issue with the language settings tiles in the main menu - the final two options previously cycled through all the other language options instead of only displaying the two Chinese language options.
  • Fixed the resolution of the control panel near the door on Relic - Rescue.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the top of the briefing table to appear transparent on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed the missing tank track physics.
  • Fixed an issue where artifacts could appear after skipping a cutscene when HDR and ray tracing are active.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause some wall objects to flicker depending on the camera angle.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the cabinet to clip through the wall on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed an issue where the light from the moon was too intense on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a misplaced reflection to appear on the carrier deck on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed a noticeable line that appeared in the cave on Awakening - Mine.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an excessive glow effect to occur when shooting the Ceph Hunter on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Improvements made to visuals of some NPC's to appear more in line with the original Crysis on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed a white graphical artifact that would appear in the sky on Exodus - Sphere.
  • Corrected the flashlight cone and circle in gameplay to be in line with what is shown in the Aztec cutscene.
  • Improved the look of Admiral Morrison (Reckoning) to be more in line with the original.
  • Fixed Admiral Morrison's dying animation to be more in line with the original.
  • Fixed an issue that caused screen glitches to appear when switching between performance modes after enabling HDR.
  • Improved the texture of the rocks on Recovery - Village.
  • Improved visuals for the hostages on Recovery - village.
  • Fixed an issue that caused artifacts to appear on Exodus - Sphere.
  • Fixed an issue that caused red artifacts to appear on forest levels.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the title screen to hang on Contact - Island if instance when the cutscene was skipped.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur at the beginning of the final boss fight.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur during the second phase of the final boss fight.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some of the stairs to flicker depending on the camera angle on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed the shading of the glass on the grey pickup trucks.
  • Improvements made to the shader tied to light beams.
  • Fixed the level of detail tied to a number of objects on Awakening - Mine.
  • Fixed the stretched textures on the rocks on Island - Contact.
  • Fixed an issue with the cutscene on Awakening - Mine where the Korean soldiers stop aiming at the player.
  • Fixed a missing blue light in the first ventilation pipe on Core.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the MOAC muzzle flash to appear low resolution and with broken colors.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the LOD (level of detail) of the shadows of the sheds being overly noticeable.
  • Removed the bushes that appear at the exit of the tunnel on Onslaught - Tank.
  • Fixed an issue that caused in several objects on Awakening - Mine to have a low draw distance.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the player to fly out of the level on Core.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause glowing violet artifacts to appear on Contact - Island when HDR is enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in Prophet having an incorrect animation when holding a weapon.
  • Improvements made to the light sources on Core to be more in line with the original Crysis. (light sources were too strong).
  • Fixed the LOD of several objects on Awakening - Mine.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some bushes to appear in the stone at the start of Onslaught.
  • Fixed several blurry ground textures that appear on Recovery - Village.
  • Fixed several low-resolution trees and bushes on Recovery - Village.
  • Fixed an issue with the lighting on the number 80 that appears on the wall of the carrier on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed the skins of the Korean soldiers as to not appear transparent.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the cutscene on Contact to appear blurry when Ray tracing is enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the light on the carrier appearing to pass through walls on Reckoning - Fleet.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some artifacts to appear on certain trees on Relic - Rescue.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur during the skydiving cutscene on Island - Contact.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the lamp from shaking after the earthquake on Awakening- Mine.
  • Fixed a number of the big bottle assets.
  • Fixed some dark flicker that could be seen on the harbor building on Assault - Harbor.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the admiral badges to change their form.
  • Fixed a bug that caused artifacts to appear on the doors of the Bulldog.
  • Fixed a noticeable light change that occurred during the first cutscene on Paradise Lost - Ice.
  • Fixed an issue that caused white artifacts to appear on the sky ok Exodus - Sphere.
  • Fixed several light sources that were not producing light on Reckoning - Fleet.
