A day after the debut of the Daredevil Season 2 teaser featuring Elektra kicking some ninja butt, the official second trailer of the new season has dropped.
The first Daredevil Season 2 trailer focused on the Punisher and his fight with Daredevil, but we finally get to see Elektra (Elodie Yung) interact with Matt Murdock and what her dynamic in the upcoming season will be.
There’s a lot to dissect in the trailer, including how the relationship between Elektra and Daredevil traces back to when they met in college. But Elektra comes to Matt with some discouraging news: the Yakuza they thought had left New York City are not gone, but have become stronger since Daredevil took care of the competition.
We also see Stix say that the Hand, supernatural ninja that Daredevil fans will be very familiar with, will appear in Hell’s Kitchen to make Matt’s life even more complicated.
Ex-girlfriends and supernatural zombie ninja aside, Daredevil still has to deal with the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and, as the trailer showed, some more in-fighting between Matt and Foggy.
Whatever happens to Hell’s Kitchen in Season 2, Daredevil will likely not be coming out of in one piece.
Daredevil Season 2 will be streaming on Netflix starting March 18.
