The first expansion for Dark Souls 3 will debut later this year, Bandai Namco confirmed this week, but we still don’t have an exact timeline for the game’s first post-launch influx of content.

We’re only a few days removed from the North American debut of Dark Souls 3, which finally arrived Tuesday morning, but the game’s publisher is already turning its attention to the first round of post-launch content being developed for the game. Details on the upcoming Dark Souls 3 expansion remain scarce at this time. Bandai Namco has previously confirmed both DS3 add-ons will introduce new bosses, equipment and locations; however, that’s pretty much where the company stops talking. Unfortunately, this week’s release of Dark Souls 3 wasn’t enough to pry any new details out of the game’s publisher.

Similarly, while the publisher has confirmed plans to release the first Dark Souls 3 DLC sometime this fall, Bandai Namco hasn’t provided a specific timeline for the expansion’s debut. We also don’t know where it’ll fit into the game’s timeline; more specifically, whether it’ll introduce locations and bosses meant to be explored before the end of the game or if the Dark Souls 3 DLC will pick up where one of the game’s many endings trails off. Sadly, it sounds like we’ll have to wait a few more weeks, if not longer, before we get any answers.

Dark Souls 3 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s first expansion is expected to debut sometime this fall.
