Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris
Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Activision / Bungie

Additional information on the first Destiny 2 expansion has been confirmed by Bungie, less than a day after the game’s first trailer was featured in Sony’s Paris Games Week media showcase. It turns out Osiris and the Lighthouse won’t be the only familiar sights in the Destiny 2 DLC. And we can look forward to two level cap increases when Curse of Osiris hits PC and consoles.

According to Eurogamer, Bungie has confirmed that both the experience and Power level caps will rise in the first Destiny 2 expansion. Players will be able to gain five more experience levels (New cap: 25) before their XP gains start building towards Bright Engrams again. Power cap will jump from its current cap of 305 (w/ legendary mods) to 335. The number of avenues players will have to reach those new caps remains to be seen. One might assume progression will look very similar to the leveling process in the base game; however, it’s possible Bungie has plans to make the trip from level 20 to level 25 more than a hunt for the handful of Luminous Engrams the community earns each week.

The outlet also confirmed Morena Baccarin, who you may recognize from her stints on Firefly and Homeland, will join the Destiny 2 cast in its first expansion. She’ll provide the voice of Sagira, Osiris’s Ghost before the missing Warlock was separated from his robotic companion. Curse of Osiris will also bring back Brother Vance, originally introduced in Destiny 1 ’s House of Wolves expansion. Vance will partner with Ikora to lead players through the Infinite Forest, a “simulated reality” that will double as Mercury’s patrol zone in the Destiny 2 DLC. IGN says we’ll see some familiar weapons in the expansion too. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on whether or not we can expect a new raid in Curse of Osiris.

If you missed Sony’s presentation on Monday, take a few minutes to revisit the Destiny 2: Curse Of Osiris announcement trailer that helped kick off Paris Games Week. Then head down to the comments and let us know what you’re hoping to see in the first Destiny 2 expansion.
