“Destiny 2” players who are craving something new from the game are in luck. The holiday-themed Dawning event went live this week, and with it came a somewhat unusual questline in “Destiny” terms: Players have been tasked with baking various treats for the game’s many friendly characters.
Each character wants a different treat, and each treat requires a common ingredient, a more specialized ingredient and 15 Essence of Dawning. That last ingredient can be found by completing activities, such as public events and adventures. The rest, in typical “Destiny” fashion, come from shooting aliens with guns.
Once ingredients are collected, take them to Eva in the Tower. She has an oven players can use to bake cookies and cakes. Reddit user Akuhcap posted a comprehensive guide to oven ingredients on Tuesday.
Players who do all of this will be rewarded with the Legendary machine gun Avalanche and the Exotic Sparrow Dawning Cheer.
Where to find common ingredients
Different common ingredients come from killing different enemy types. For the most part, these are fairly self-explanatory.
Dark Ether Cane: Kill Scorn

The second ingredient in each recipe will be a little tougher to find. For these, players need to kill enemies in specific ways to get the ingredients to drop.
