Destiny 2’s second faction rally has ended and, much to the dismay of Space Goths around the globe, Dead Orbit failed to claim its second consecutive win. But there is some good news for those of us who can acknowledge New Monarchy’s new sword will just clog up our vault: our first extended look at Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is less than 24 hours away.
Bungie announced the results of the second Faction Rally Tuesday morning and called Guardians in every region to “celebrate with New Monarchy” for the next week. Anyone who pledged their support to the faction last week has six days to purchase Honor’s Edge, the legendary sword preferred by New Monarchy, for the low, low price of 1000 Glimmer. Those who pledged their support to Dead Orbit and Future War Cult can also buy the sword, but will have to pay a much steeper price of 50,000 Glimmer. The second Faction Rally reward is far from the most impressive weapon in the Destiny 2 armory, but it might be an exciting purchase for someone still trying to get their Guardian(s) raid-ready.
Elsewhere, Bungie also published a teaser trailer for the first of three live streams that preview the first Destiny 2 expansion, Curse of Osiris. This week, the studio says fans can expect a sneak peek at “new places you’ll visit, the new characters you’ll meet, and the enemies you’ll fight.” It’s also probably safe to assume the rest of the series will follow a similar format to the streams broadcast ahead of each D1 expansion. We won’t know for sure until later this month, but don’t be shocked if the next two streams highlight new Crucible content and some of the new exotic gear featured in Curse of Osiris.
