Destiny 2
Destiny 2 Bungie

Three new teaser trailers for Destiny 2 have been added to the game’s YouTube channel, giving you something to watch during your next trip to/from Orbit. None are particularly revelatory, nor do they feature anyone we hadn't already been introduced to via previous Destiny 2 media. But it's nice to have something more lighthearted to watch after the launch trailer that debuted on Tuesday .

Two of the three Vanguards we visited frequently in Destiny 1 take center stage in their own Destiny 2 teaser trailers. First up was Cayde-6, the Nathan Fillion-voiced Hunter Vanguard who quickly became one of the shared-world shooter’s most popular NPCs after the “Destiny 2.0 ” patch dropped in September 2015. Next up was Hawthorne, a new human NPC we’ll meet after the Tower falls. Last, but certainly not least, Commander Zavala got another turn in the spotlight. The Titan Vanguard has appeared frequently in early marketing for Destiny 2, most of which has relied heavily on footage from the game’s opening mission (in which Zavala plays a central role).

In other Destiny 2 news, a tweet from Bungie confirmed pre-loading is now underway for the upcoming PC beta. Anyone with an early access code, received after pre-ordering the game, can start downloading the Destiny 2 beta client from Battle.net starting today. Servers won’t be online until Aug. 28, and anyone interested in the Destiny 2 beta will have access beginning Aug. 29, but only the early access crowd gets to install the game before it's playable.

For an early look at Destiny 2, take a few minutes to watch all the new character teasers from Bungie and Activision. Then head down to the comments and let us know which NPC you’re most excited to see return when Destiny 2 hits PC and consoles later this year.

Destiny 2 is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game hits consoles on Sept. 6 before making the jump to PC in October.
