A new Destiny 2 hotfix hit Xbox Live, PSN and Battle.net this week, delivering more of the structural fixes Bungie promised after Curse of Osiris debuted in December. This week’s hotfix will mainly benefit fans of the game’s group activities and those who aren’t yet DLC owners, but the latest Destiny 2 hotfix is important nonetheless.

Last month, Bungie created a tidal wave of anger in the Destiny community with a series of controversial design choices. Players were enraged by the studio’s decision to lock a number of endgame activities -- an area where Destiny 2 was already struggling -- behind a new paywall. Those who didn’t own Curse of Osiris were suddenly unable to complete Prestige raids and Nightfall strikes, couldn’t participate in the Iron Banner and couldn’t pledge in the Faction Rallies. A pair of controversies related to experience accrual and the studio’s underwhelming communication didn’t help either.

Raids have since been modified to give anyone geared for a Power 300 encounter a reasonable chance at completion. Players have also enjoyed hunting for Masterwork gear since it debuted last month. But Destiny fans were still waiting for a handful of features to return to their pre- COO state. As of Wednesday, Faction Rallies and Iron Banner are once again accessible to the entire Destiny 2 community. The former is still a limited-run event, so you’ll have to wait for the next Faction Rally to begin, while the latter remains the purview of level-capped Guardians who benefit the most from the Iron Banner’s imbalanced competitive environment. From what we can tell, those are the only significant changes in this week’s hotfix. There aren’t any bug fixes listed in the patch notes and Bungie didn’t mention any other changes on its website or social feeds.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
