In the recent TWAB, Bungie teased the weapons that are leaving and entering Destiny 2 in Season 21.
Say Hello to a Familiar Friend
One of the weapons coming next season is the once-popular scout rifle, Randy’s Throwing Knife.
Even though it has a funny name, Randy’s Throwing Knife is no joke because it has enough firepower to take enemies down in just a few hits. What’s more, because it is a kinetic rapid-fire scout rifle, it can potentially roll pretty good perks, such as Kinetic Tremors and Frenzy. Now, it remains to be seen whether Randy’s Throwing Knife will indeed have the said perks in its pool.
Anyway, here are the other weapons that players can expect in Season 21:
- Nightfall
- Braytech Osprey: Void High-Impact Rocket Launcher
- Loaded Question: Arc High-Impact Fusion Rifle
- Vanguard
- Positive Outlook: Void Precision Auto Rifle
- Gambit
- Strand Linear Fusion Rifle
- Trials of Osiris
- Arc Glaive
- The Messenger: Kinetic High-Impact Pulse Rifle
- Iron Banner
- Strand Fusion Rifle
- Swarm of the Raven: Void Rapid-Fire Heavy Grenade Launcher
- Competitive
- Arc Sniper Rifle
Say Goodbye to These Weapons
To make way for new weapons, some of the current firearms will be leaving Destiny 2 as soon as the next season begins. Here’s a rundown:
- Nightfall
- Mindbender’s Ambition: Solar Aggressive Frame Shotgun
- Final week in rotation: 4/18
- The Militia’s Birthright: Kinetic Lightweight Grenade Launcher
- Final week in rotation: 5/2
- Trials of Osiris
- The Inquisitor: Arc Precision Slug Shotgun.
- Final week in rotation: 5/9.
- Iron Banner
- The Wizened Rebuke: Arc High-Impact Fusion Rifle
- The Hero’s Burden: Void Adaptive Submachine Gun
- Competitive
- Rose: Lightweight Kinetic Hand Cannon
The best weapons on this list are the Mindbender’s Ambition and Rose. Mindbender’s Ambition is an aggressive frame shotgun that gets better fire rate after killing an enemy. It can roll the One-Two Punch perk, which increases melee damage if the wielder hits the enemy with all 12 shotgun pellets. Those who like to get up close and personal may want to get their hands on the Mindbender’s Ambition for sure.
Rose is a lightweight frame hand cannon that can potentially get good perks if the player is lucky. For example, it can roll Rapid Hit and Explosive Payload - two perks that make this hand cannon quite appealing to use in PvE. The former increases the weapon’s reload speed while the latter increases body shot damage against PvE combatants.
The next season of Destiny 2 is rumored to launch on May 23, so players have more than a month to farm these weapons before they leave the loot pool.
So, are you excited that Randy’s Throwing Knife is returning to Destiny 2 next season?
