In the last Destiny 2 weekly post before the 30th Anniversary event, Bungie is set to launch the second round of Trials Labs: Freelance this week with a minor change. Also, some improvements to Armor Mods will be implemented on December 7.
Freelance Mode is Back
Do you prefer playing solo? Get ready as Trials Labs: Freelance returns this week. This time, you no longer have to finish the Trials Intro quest. Instead, you just have to be at Power Level 1,290 or higher and have purchased the Beyond the Light expansion.
If you cannot play this week for some reason, do not worry. The developers said that the Freelance mode will be back from December 31 to January 3.
In addition, both Trials Labs: Freelance and Capture Zone will be available in February, just before the release of the game’s next expansion, The Witch Queen.
Armor Mods Improvements
Armor mods provide a lot of great bonuses to your Guardian. Things like faster reload speed and increased damage against certain types of enemies are just some of the bonuses that you can get.
Tinkering with your mod setup requires Glimmer, and you may have experienced at some point that you don’t have enough when you need to change mods the most. Fortunately, a good change is expected to drop next week.
Starting December 7, you can swap out your armor mods instantaneously free of charge. So, no need for Glimmer or any other currency to do it. This would allow you to change your mods on the fly.
Are you using any Destiny 2 apps on your mobile device? Apps like Destiny Item Manager and Ishtar Commander are just some great examples of this.
Well, developers are going to increase their functionality next week. In addition to gear changing and item transfer in your vault, you can apply shaders, ornaments, and weapon perks directly from these third-party apps.
Previews and Purchases for Exotic Ornaments
Another notable improvement coming this Tuesday is the ability to discover and purchase Exotic ornaments when inspecting the item itself.
For instance, the Le Monarque will be receiving a new ornament as part of the 30th Anniversary release. When you head to your inventory and inspect the weapon, you can head to the Ornaments section and then purchase its new ornament from there.
It is worth noting that all featured ornaments are purchasable using the game’s premium currency, Silver.
