Xur is back!
It’s been months since most Destiny players have had any reason to check in with the Agent of the Nine. But he couldn’t have chosen a better day to make their Destiny 2 debut. The game’s first raid is finally available and eating up thousands of hours of game time. Plus, a new PvP event, the Trials of the Nine, debuts this weekend. So it’s hard to imagine a time when the Destiny 2 community might get more excited about the prospect of relatively-painless exotic item acquisition. Assuming, of course, that the cost of new gear hasn’t risen sharply since we last saw the Destiny community’s favorite exotic item vendor.
This week you’ll find Xur waiting on Nessus, near Watcher's Grave. He even has his own icon on the map, making him especially easy to locate.
Things have changed a bit since the last time we saw the Agent of the Nine. For starters, his preferred currencies have changed. Not that anyone should be surprised, given the complete lack of Strange Coins and Motes of Light in Destiny 2. Instead, players will need to collect Legendary Shards -- the little purple bits you receive from breaking legendary items -- to purchase gear from the traveling vendor. Speaking of, here’s everything Xur is selling to Destiny 2 players this weekend:
Merciless
Fusion Rifle
Attack: 270
Conserve Momentum: Non-lethal hits lessen charge time
Reloading immediately after a kill increases weapon damage for a short time
Raiden Flux
Hunter - Chest Armor
Defense: 270
Synapse Junctions: Quick successive attacks with Arc Staff increase its damage output and duration.
Class abilities recharge faster when using Arc subclass
Doom Fang Pauldron
Titan - Gauntlets
Defense: 270
Horns of Doom: Shield Bash melee kills rechard Shield Throw. Melee ability kills recharge Sentinel Shield Super.
Void melee abilities recharge faster.
Wings of Sacred Dawn
Warlock - Chest Armor
Defense: 270
Tome of Dawn: When Dawnblade is equipped, aiming weapons while in midair suspends you there for a short time. Precision hits extend this effect's duration.
