Fans have been waiting for more than a decade to get their hands on Diablo 4, and it’s almost here. The much-anticipated game launches on all major platforms June 2. However, some players will be able to play it a few months early.
The developer announced that an open beta for the game will take place this month. Those who pre-ordered the game will get access to the beta from March 17 to 19, while the rest of the players can play it from March 24 to 26.
The official system requirements for open beta have been revealed as well, and they seem quite reasonable, except for one thing. The game will require 45 GB of free storage space and it must be an SSD; an HDD won’t do. Players will also need Windows 10 64-bit, an internet connection, and a DirectX 12 API enabled.
- Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
- Internet: Broadband Connection
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD R3-1300X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 370
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
- Internet: Broadband Connection
Do keep in mind that these requirements don’t represent the specs of the final game, which should be revealed in the coming months. The devs also mentioned that Diablo 4 will support ray tracing but after launch, to be added via a patch, which has no definitive date.
