The latest entry in the long-running DiRT franchise is only two months away. If you are a PC player then you must be wondering what kind of hardware you will need to run the game properly. Well, worry not, as the developer and publisher of the game, Codemasters, released the official system requirements for PC players.
DiRT 5 seems to be forgiving for older hardware as the minimum system requirements aren’t that high. You will need a PC running Windows 10 64-bit version and 60GB of space to store the game. The game processor and GPU requirements aren’t that high, as an Intel Core i3 2130 or AMD FX 4300 paired with either a GTX 970 or AMD RX 480 will do just fine. The game will need a minimum of 8GB of RAM and it will only run in DirectX 12.
The recommended settings are where things change. The game becomes extremely demanding. The RAM requirement will increase to 16 GB and you will need an Intel Core i5 9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X paired with either a GTX 1070 Ti or AMD Vega 64. These hardware requirements are quite high. The devs didn’t reveal whether these requirements are for 1080p or 4k, or whether this hardware is enough for 60FPS or 30. I guess only time will tell.
