Dishonored 2 finally arrives on Friday, Nov. 11, and thanks to Redditor LegalTRR, we’ve learned that there is a massive Dishonored 2 day one patch.
LegalTRR shared the alleged day one patch information on Monday, Nov. 7, and said it was a 9.1 GB patch and required “a long time to update.” According to LegalTRR, the day one patch update history includes fixes for:
- Improved loading times
- Texture streaming
- Audio mixing
- Frame rate
- Shadow quality
- Mid-mission stats screen
- Screenshot preview for Saved games
- Numerous bug fixes
GameSpot also reported to have “independently confirmed” the file size and confirmed the PS4 version will have a 9.1 GB patch while the Xbox One console will receive a 9 GB patch download. Gamespot also noted that Dishonored 2 can be played without installing the patch. However, this will sign you out of PSN or Xbox Live. It’s better to just update Dishonored 2 or other games for that matter.
For players that have purchased the game digitally, expect to see the Dishonored 2 day one patch already come pre-loaded with minimal hiccups.
Dishonored 2 is technically not out yet, but players who pre-ordered the game will have early access the day before launch, tomorrow, Nov. 10. Dishonored 2 releases globally Nov. 11 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Bethesda shared PC system requirements a while back.
