There is no doubt that Arteezy is not just a top-tier Dota 2 pro player, but he is also considered as one of the most popular streamers out there. His return to livestreaming and the viewership count is proof of why he is highly celebrated in the community.

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev went on a 400-day hiatus from streaming Dota 2 games. But as soon as he got back to streaming on Twitch, he reached a peak concurrent viewership of 22,528 and maintained an average viewership of 17,984.

These numbers are definitely a huge triumph for Arteezy, especially after they dwarf fellow English streamers Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski and Max “qojqva” Brocker. The two only clocked in an average viewership of around 9,000 and 2,100, respectively. Clearly, Arteezy is on another level than the two; well, at least, when he returned to streaming Dota 2 games.

As soon as Arteezy announced he would livestream again, he became a huge topic in the game’s subreddit. His stream was also close to dwarfing the grand finals of BetBoom Xmas Show, which saw the match between Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit (the former defeated the latter by 3-2). The grand finals had a peak viewership of 22,830, just a few hundred ahead of the former Evil Geniuses player.

As expected from an Arteezy Dota 2 stream, players and fans alike were treated to his infamous baby rage moments. He even boasted about being able to continue playing the game even if it was so impossible to win.

The Dota 2 pro player revealed that he would go on a stream again in the next few days. However, he also cautioned that he would go on another hiatus, though he never revealed a timeline.

While Arteezy has yet to lift the Aegis in The International, he continues to be one of the highly celebrated players in the community. In the upcoming competitive scene, he is expected to play together with his team Shopify Rebellion, composed of five former members of EG. A lot of fans are hoping that Arteezy and his team will finally win a championship. Well, only time will tell.
