It looks like players are about to have more fun in their games with the Summer 2021 Update for Dota Plus. That’s because the High Five ability is back. After all, what better way to show appreciation for an excellent play than with something “up high.”
That’s not all since guild members now have the Guild Banner ability. With this, members can show off the status and logo of their guilds during a game.
If you’re wondering, Dota Plus is a monthly premium subscription service for Dota 2. It offers a bunch of additional features instead of just playing the game. Features, among many others, include hero progression, chat wheel lines, and even statistical analysis. Subscribers also get extra rewards during events and from Battle Passes.
The new update also brings the Summer 2021 Seasonal Treasure, which can be bought using shards. This is exclusive to members and features new sets for:
- Chaos Knight
- Phantom Assassin
- Outworld Destroyer
- Wraith King
- Sven
- Treant Protector
- Huskar
- Brewmaster
- Storm Spirit
- Naga Siren
Updated Seasonal Quests and Guild Rewards
There are new Dota Plus quests as well sure to help players get needed additional shards for new relics and Seasonal Treasure. Players can expect to earn as much as 115,200 shards over the season.

Supporters Clubs
Back in early May, Dota 2 players were introduced to Supporters Clubs. This is a way for players to support their favorite teams and show that love in-game. Initially, nine teams were introduced including OG, Natus Vincere, and Fnatic. Since then, more teams have been added like PSG.LGD, TNC Predator, and AS Monaco Gambit.
Short Film Contest
For those who want to have their creative juices tested, entries for the Dota 2 Short Film Contest are now being accepted. Entries that get into the Top 10 get $500 with the winner getting $25,000. Entries are welcome until July 25 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. Learn more about it here.
