The early access test for Defense Derby is finally here. Players can now download this real-time strategy defense mobile game from Google Play. The goal of the test is to get feedback that will be used as a basis to improve its quality ahead of the official launch. This early access test ends May 11.
A global pre-release test version of the game was made available last year. What makes this early access test different is that players can access a new system and new mode.
By the way, in case you’re wondering, the US isn’t part of this early access test. The current test regions are Korea, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and India.
Growth System
This early access test gives players that chance to try the new step-by-step growth system known as the Path of Guardian. This system functions as a milestone and gives new goals and rewards to motivate players and maximize their enjoyment.
Players can go on this Path of Guardian based on their derby points and league progression. Rewards that players can get include Hero/Unit cards and outer appearances of the castle.
New Mode
The new mode is called Derby Free Fight - Mirror Match. Here, the three things that players have to remember are deck, betting, and scouting. Four players are matched with each getting 20 Derby Chips, aka the scouting currency. They can claim the victory by successfully scouting units. These are what they need to keep a close eye on:
- Scouting Success
- The player who offers the highest amount of Derby Chips takes the card (unit), and the amount of Chips used to scout the unit will be consumed.
- If two or more players offer the same highest amount of Chips, all those players receive the card.
- Scouting Fail
- Players who offered fewer Chips than the one which successfully scouted the card won't be able to acquire the card and start the wave without additional units.
- Players who fail to scout are refunded all the Chips they offered on the card.
- They also receive bonus Chip in order of the highest amount offered.
