Mojang Studios have been continuously sharing updates for "Minecraft" since the start of the year, and the latest update expands on the multiplayer feature for all gamers to enjoy. The new feature focuses on a way to locate friends easier in the game via the Player Locator bar, and it allows players to go off and find their friends in the game, especially those who choose to stay hidden.
It probably won't take long before players decide to make this into another mini-game experience by holding hide-and-seek adventures with their friends or acquaintances.
'Minecraft' Adds a New Player Locator Bar
Over the years, Mojang Studios have given "Minecraft" players many ways to connect and enjoy multiplayer experiences in the game, and the company has announced that here is a new feature that will soon make its way to "Minecraft," which centers on the revamped Player Locator bar.
While it makes finding friends in the game easier for a user as they will be popping up on the Player Locator bar, others may challenge a user to make it harder for them to catch their exact location in the game. According to the developers, players may stay off the radar or sneak under the noses of the user who looks for them, offering them a challenging experience in finding them in-game.
Mojang Studios may have made it easier to find friends in the game, but players may choose to make this experience a worthwhile manhunt for other players as they may choose to hide or disguise themselves. Additionally, players may also utilize special tools or items present in the game, including the Potion of Invisibility that will keep them hidden in plain sight while still existing within the map.
Moreover, there are also ways to avoid detection like wearing masks and other forms of disguise to dupe other players.
'Minecraft's' Update for the Player Locator Still in Beta
As mentioned earlier, players may make a mini game out of this as Mojang also allows players who create a lobby or server to disable the Player Locator bar feature to make the hunt more challenging in "Minecraft."
However, this is not yet available as the new multiplayer feature is still under testing in the Bedrock beta and preview and has to arrive in the Java snapshot.
The same goes for the Player Locator upgrade in the multiplayer mode of the game, particularly as it remains under the beta testing phase for now. According to GameRant, the latest feature coming to the multiplayer received a positive reception from gamers who have already accessed it via the beta.
Apart from the possible hide-and-seek experience on "Minecraft," the Player Locator bar can also help in improving the adventure on private worlds, especially for those playing with friends.
