Developer Zenimax Online Studios has finally released the Deadlands DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online. Update 32 (v7.2.5) brings a lot of new content and massive changes to the base game and the recently deployed DLC. Read on to find out the best things about Deadlands.
New Zone
The title of the DLC is the new zone that you can explore in TES Online. To get to the Deadlands, you must first go to the City of Fargrave, where you will take a Wayshrine to teleport to the outskirts. Alternatively, you can take “The Celestial Palanquin” quest from the Collections UI under the Stories section.
This new zone is open to all characters. It comes with two new delves, two powerful World Bosses, and an Executioner Boss that wanders around the area looking for trouble.
Completing all zone stories in both Deadlands and the Blackwood Chapter will give you access to a bonus questline. This is where you will fight with Mehrunes Dagon himself at the end. Keep in mind that defeating him is no easy task, for he is the Daedric Prince of Destruction.
Armory System
Are you tired of trying different builds? What's probably holding you back from doing so is the constant changing of items, skills, and equipment manually. There are many new and enticing builds to try in this update. So, the developers have made it much easier for you, thanks to the new Armory system.
The Armory basically lets you save presets of your character builds, allowing you to switch between these builds with ease. You just have to save your builds using the available slots. Then you can equip them by visiting the Armory Station or via the Armory Assistant, Ghrasharog.
This new feature is available to all players, and you can get this via the free Armory Station from the Crown Store. Then, you just place it inside your home, and you’re good to go.
Curated Item Set Drops
Do you have a hard time completing a particular set? Update 32 also introduces curated item set drops. The idea behind this is that rewards you get from killing bosses in arenas and incursions will preferentially drop set items that you have not unlocked yet in your collection.
Keep in mind that you will still have to farm the specific bosses with the set pieces you want. But this quality-of-life change should give you the confidence that you’re not wasting your time when trying to get them.
Moreover, this new system only applies to bosses, which means treasure chests, containers, and loot that comes from non-boss monsters are not curated in the same manner.
