Epic Games Store's "Free Games Every Week" promotion is something we haven’t seen before. Most of the time, we get small indie titles free-to-play, but in rare weeks, we get to play big-budget AAA titles for free. Next week is one of those rare weeks.
Not one but two games will be available for free next week. You will be able to grab Absolute Drift, a racing game by Funselektor Labs Inc. The other is RAGE 2, an open-world action game by Avalanche Studios.
All of you have to do is claim the games between February 18 and February 25 and they will be yours to keep forever. It wasn’t mentioned whether we will get the normal or Deluxe Edition of the RAGE 2 for free, but we expect that it’s just the normal edition.
RAGE 2
RAGE 2 was released back in 2019 and it’s already being given for free. The game received mediocre reviews at launch so maybe that’s the reason. Most of the criticism was focused on repetitive mission structure, boring story, and short campaign. However, the gunplay is quite fun. Feel free to check out if your PC can even run the game since the requirements are quite hefty.
Absolute Drift
Absolute Drift, on the other hand, is a five-year-old game that received a warm reception. The game offers up to 34 tracks and over five free roam areas. It’s a good game to try out for a few hours.
This Week Free Game
Not all the good news is for next week. This week’s free game is the sci-fi strategy game, Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition. If you enjoyed the game, then you can choose to support the developer by purchasing the official soundtrack, art book, or the Precursor Legacy add-on.
