Lennie James is the newest member of the Fear The Walking Dead cast and we’ve got the photos for you.
[SPOILER WARNING: The Walking Dead comic spoilers about Morgan’s fate ahead.]
James will reprise his role as Morgan from The Walking Dead into the spinoff universe. Robert Kirkman confirmed the crossover event during New York Comic Con 2017,but no word how Morgan’s storyline will fit into Fear The Walking Dead , (we do have our theories .) Check out James on the show’s set and table read below.
James joins returning cast members Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo and Danay Garcia, and new series regulars Garret Dillahunt and Jenna Elfman. Scott M. Gimple, The Walking Dead showrunner and Fear The Walking Dead executive producer, assured fans Morgan’s story will continue on through season 8 and will take an interesting turn in the spinoff. James released a statement regarding the announcement of Morgan’s crossover into Fear The Walking Dead .
“To take Morgan into this new realm and landscape, to see who he could now be, to see where his story could go in the world of Fear the Walking Dea d is wonderfully exciting and I am really looking forward to the challenge,” James said. “My time on The Walking Dead has been a blessing and one of the top working and personal experiences of my life. That cast and crew will have my love, my respect and my deep gratitude until the end of my days.”
We know it sounds like James is saying goodbye to The Walking Dead forever, but the show has faked us out before. They could leave Morgan in a dumpster somewhere like Glenn, or pull a Heath and drive off into the distance to setup a return to the show in the future. But Morgan dies in the comics, so it’s likely The Walking Dead will send him off to Fear The Walking Dead with a glorious death scene.
