Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers will be releasing Patch 5.1 this fall, which is titled Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty. Indeed, the new patch brings a large amount of content including new main scenario quests and gatherer content. It even includes the first chapter of the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid, something that players are sure to be excited about.
So what makes this raid unique? This update brings Nier to the world of Final Fantasy. This was made possible in collaboration with NieR: Automata Producer Yosuke Saito and Director Yoko Taro.
Additional content with patch 5.1 will include:
- Restoring the Holy See of Ishgard
- Players who belong to the gathering and crafting classes are invited to rebuild the Firmament in Ishgard. Aside form the new content, both gatherers and crafters should expect to see different improvements and adjustments.
- New Game+
- Players have long requested this feature. With this, players are able to replay many of the previously completed quests while continuing to have their current progression and job level. This gives players that perfect opportunity to revisit many of their favorite memories.
- New Grand Cosmos Dungeon
- The new patch gives players a new dungeon for them to explore. Players can go inside with other players or form a team of AI-controlled NPC's under the new Trust System.
- PvP Updates
- Patch 5.1 introduces a new Frontline map. There are also going to be significant changes to PvP actions.
- New Extreme Trial
- For those looking for a challenge, they can give this new extreme difficulty trial a chance. You need to think fast and make sure to use all the skills you have in order to succeed.
- Blue Mage Job
- The Blue Mage job was introduced early this year. Patch 5.1 introduces a major update, its first. This limited job gets mage-specific battle challenges and content. It also offers now job quests while increasing the level cap.
- New Beast Tribe Quests
- New pixie Beast Tribe quests are available with this latest release.
- Performance Action Updates
- There is now a new ensemble feature where players can make beautiful music along with other players.
- Other improvements
- In addition to the features already mention, Patch 5.1 also brings with it adjustments to jobs along with updates to the Gold Saucer and system, among others.
The Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty patch will release this Fall. A specific release date has yet to be announced.
