On Thursday night, Square Enix dropped a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV’s upcoming Moogle Chocobo Carnival event, offering fans a glimpse at what Noctis and his Chocobros will be up to starting next week.
The new footage shows more of the Venice-inspired city of Altissia in its festive finery, finds Noctis ordering a cheesecake from Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and reveals several entirely new mini-games. These include a shooting gallery, a dance game, a photography-focused challenge and what appears to be a dancing/rhythm competition. Check out the trailer below.
Square Enix reps first teased the release of the new footage of the Carnival on the official Final Fantasy XV Facebook page on Thursday morning. But why does poor Noct look so heartbroken? Did Ardyn take the last slice of special cheesecake just to mess with him? (You know he would.)
North American fans will be able to explore festive Altissia a bit earlier than previously expected. The limited-time event will begin Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST, with launch times in Europe and Asia falling on Jan. 24. The Moogle Chocobo Carnival lasts through 4 p.m. PST / 7p.m. EST on Feb. 19. You’ll need to download either the free or paid versions of the Holiday Pack DLC, if you haven’t already, to access the event.
