The Final Station has a new DLC titled The Only Traitor which takes you on a road trip through its apocalyptic, zombie-ridden world.
The Only Traitor lets you explore new locations in the world of The Final Station as well as revisiting some familiar locales from the main story. There are new, unexpected monster and enemy types, and you are able to choose one companion at a time to be in your car. Each survivor has personal traits, abilities like crafting or healing, and stories to tell.
The DLC also answers some lingering questions from The Final Station and adds depth to the personal stories of characters encountered in the main game.
The Final Station is a retro-pixel 2D game where you play a train conductor who delivers important cargo and ferries survivors through the zombie-ridden wastes of a post-apocalyptic world. Developed by indie duo Do My Best and published by tinyBuild, The Final Station is Do My Best’s debut title.
The Final Station DLC costs $4.99 and is available here, while the base game itself is $14.99 here (though both are on sale currently). For an additional 10% discount, The Collector's Edition is available, featuring the main game and DLC as well as the original soundtrack and artbook. .
In our review of The Final Station, we praised the game’s pixel art but didn’t find ourselves so charmed by the gameplay. “Exploring every nook and cranny of each limited map, gathering all survivors into a blossoming little community of whiners, moving onto the next station: rinse and repeat. This is your game for 30 levels,” we wrote.
